PRACTICE FOCUS
Ms. Clisham has focused exclusively on workers' compensation law since 1981. She represents insurers, employers and self-insured employers throughout the state. Ms. Clisham was co-counsel on the Fulton v. King Soopers case, in which the Colorado Supreme Court established rights of employers under the reemployment statute. She also co-counseled the case of Lobb v. Industrial Claim Appeals Office, where the Colorado Court of Appeals established the scope of the term "employment" pursuant to the sweeping changes in permanent total disability cases pursuant to 1991 amendments to the Act.  She was the co-author of an Amicus Brief in the Colorado Supreme Court in the case of Dillard v. Industrial Claim Appeals Office, supporting the position that was upheld by the Supreme Court that mental impairment benefits cannot be combined with scheduled and non-scheduled ratings to attempt to go over the permanent partial disability benefit cap.

Ms. Clisham also focuses on client education through frequent lecturing, workshops, and seminars regarding the general workers' compensation environment or specific issues. She is qualified in numerous courts as an expert witness in the areas of workers' compensation, bad faith in workers' compensation, and attorney malpractice in workers' compensation.
